LAUNCHING CLICA'S WEB PLATFORM
SEPTEMBER 2023
We are pleased to launch CLICA's online platform, which aims to enhance youth involvement in civic engagement. The platform brings young people together in diverse teams to improve policymaking and raise awareness about climate change.
It offers both online and offline spaces for youth to address the issue of feeling powerless by coming together to advocate for causes they care about, engage in artivism as a way to actively participate and get involved in civic matters and enhance important skills like creativity and critical thinking, while also learning more about climate change. Over the course of the next few months the platform will be growing in membership by recruiting young people across the 7 countries where CLICA is active, but will also continuously be enriched through the learning and networking resources offered to its members. You can access the platform by visiting the 'Platform' tab on our website and then clicking on the designated button.
CONSORTIUM MEETING MATERA | SEPTEMBER 2023
On the 5th & 6th of September, 14 representatives from the 7 partners participating in CLICA gathered in Matera in Italy for our second consortium meeting. Over two days we collaborated and co-ideated on how to empower young people how to become effective advocates for the European Green Deal. We also had the opportunity to engage in train the trainers sessions, where we trained the facilitators who will be guiding the local youth assemblies across 7 European countries on how to empower young people through principles relating to artivism, SDGs and the European Green Deal. We tested CLICA's online platform, and had the opportunity to explore its inner workings prior to its launch later on September.
CONSORTIUM MEETING ATHENS | MARCH 2023
On the 15th & 16th of March, LATRA will be producing CLICA's first consortium meeting in Athens, which will be hosted in the Finnish Institute! Together with our 6 partners, we will be laying out the strategy on how to create a bottom-up and all-inclusive youth movement in support of the European Green Deal, aimed at systemically increasing the policy’s impact for youth residing in European peripheries, civic desserts, rural areas and remote communities that are at the frontlines of the European climate change crisis and are struggling to address the challenges that it creates.
ITS A LAUNCH! | JANUARY 2023
CLICA is pleased to announce the launch of its website and social media channels, which will help our communities in learning about the project and engaging with their peers across Europe!
ONLINE KICK-OFF | DECEMBER 2022
On the 12th of December 2022, all seven CLICA partners came together over an online meeting to discuss how through the project we can empower youth in taking action towards climate change by harnessing the benefits of the European Green Deal!
